The Challenge

A patient group wanted to publicise a new treatment.

The Analysis

A press campaign was developed with patient stories and stories about NICE reviews for the new treatment. A number of press releases were issued to leading women’s magazines, national papers and TV and radio.

The Result

The campaign is on-going. Significant press coverage was obtained with a number of patient stories appearing in leading women’s magazines, medical journals and in the national press. The number of treatments has risen significantly and the web site hit rate increased markedly after each article.
